Is DKIT Sport open?

No, but we will be re-opening on Monday 7th June.

What about direct debit memberships?

If you pay by direct debit, please note that there will be no charge for the month of June in line with the credit owed to you for January payment. Direct Debits will resume in July.

What about annual memberships?

All annual memberships will have their renewal dates extended in line with time period for which we have been closed.

What about the Health Suite?

Following the advice of experts, our health suites and spas will remain closed until further notice. 

Can Covid-19 be spread in a swimming pool?

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have stated there is no evidence that the virus that causes COVID-19 can be spread to people through the water in pools, hot tubs, spas, or water play areas. Furthermore, the HSE advise that current recommended disinfection practice is sufficient to inactivate COVID-19 virus in chlorinated drinking water and swimming pools. DKIT Sport’s swimming pool operate at levels above this recommended practice meaning our chlorinated water is safe.

When will fitness classes resume?

When we re-open.  Additional safety measures will include hygiene, social distancing, equipment usage and occupancy restrictions. While Level 3 restrictions are in place, fitness classes will take place on our pitches.

What precautions will I need to take when attending the gym or swimming pool?

Practice social distancing and hand hygiene. You should not attend the swimming pool or gym if you are sick or showing symptoms. When entering and exiting the premises you must use the hand sanitiser station provided. Additional sanitising units will be available throughout the centre and should be used after each activity and/or interaction. You will need to wipe down any equipment directly after use. You should remain at least 2 meters away from all other individuals while working out and ensure not to congregate in groups. Follow the advice of our staff at all times.

1. Is DKIT Sport membership available to the public?

Yes, DKIT Sport membership is available to adults. However children are welcome in the Sport’s Dome or can avail of our birthday party room.

3. What are my payment options?

Membership can be paid by cash, credit/debit cards, or on a monthly direct debit option.

4. Can I try the gym out before I sign up for membership?

5. Can I just pay as you go at DKIT Sport?

No, we only offer memberships at DKIT Sport.

6. Do you offer an off peak membership?

No, we only offer full memberships.

7. Are classes included in my membership fee?

Classes are included in full memberships.

8. What else is included in my membership fee?

Full membership includes access to gym, swim & unlimited fitness classes.

9. What does my student membership include?

Student membership includes the use of the gym, pool and health suite facilities. Group Exercise Classes are available to purchase from the reception desk or can be booked online.


10. Can children use DKIT Sport?

No this is an adult only facility, however children are welcome in the Sport’s Dome or avail of our birthday party room.

11. Can children use the swimming pool?

No, our swimming pool is for adults only.

12. What is the weight range of your dumbbells?

Our dumbbells range from 2.5kg to 50kg.

13. Are personal trainers available for individual sessions?

Every member receives their own personal 2 day assessment with regular reviews, however if you are looking for personal training please contact us for further details

14. What are the benefits of the health suite?

The Jacuzzi and stream room soothes and relieves stress as well as relaxing muscles. It increases body metabolism and deep cleanses the skin to help eliminate toxins. Read more about our health suite.

15. Do you offer swimming lessons?

No we don’t offer lessons. However we can recommend Aura Dundalk Leisure Centre for children’s swimming lessons.

16. Do I need to book a class? How?

You don’t have to make a booking, however it is recommended at peak times. Read more.

17. What are your class times?

18. Can I use the strength & conditioning zone on my own?

No, this area is designed for team training, our functional rig and power racks on the gym floor will provide you with all your individual strength training needs. If you wish to make a booking for team training please contact us.

19. What is the high performance zone?

21. What are your opening hours?

Opening hours are Opening Hours: Monday – Friday 6.30am – 10.00pm. Sat/Sun & Bank Holidays 9.00am

You can avail of a guest pass to our centre for €15.

23. What is the minimum joining age?

18 years old.

24. What happens if I lose my membership card?

Please come to reception and we will issue a new one.

25. Do you provide parking?

Yes we provide free onsite parking.
