We’re proud of our members at DKIT Sport and the huge commitment and progress we see in our club is inspiring! Jaye is a member at DKIT Sport who’s seen an incredible transformation through hard work and determination along with the help of her trainer Ciara.

Jaye’s Journey

“2 years ago at 26 stone I decided this was the time to change, currently I am down 15 stone. This year I started aerial silks class and wanted to build and tone so I could hold myself in the silks. In February I booked in to sit with a trainer and meet the awesome Ciara. I had been working on a program I had from years before but I was happy to be just going to the gym. Ciara took time with my program, I have arthritis since I was 12 and some exercises would need modifications, and that is what she did.

In February my goal was to build strength so I didn’t fall in class but turned out to be a start to a new adventure. Over the following weeks DKIT Sport went for remodelling and Ciara took the time to make sure I had an adapted program while we were using the dome. After 6 weeks we reviewed the program and built on it. I could see changes happening and wanted more. I could see my weighloss kicking in again and it pushed me to keep going. After 6 weeks we added in core to help with toning, and more weights. In the first 6 weeks of this new program lost 8 inches of hips and waist!!! I was amazing and hooked on getting more and more in shape. Then that time again to reevaluate the program we went full overhaul, Ciara still working on modifying my exercises so I could still include every section, made me feel so relaxed and supported!!!! Then it happened all the clean eating and working out the weighloss had stopped. I know this can happen but as Ciara said it happens, trust the process.

After a few weeks of minimal loss (but great toning) Ciara suggested something I swore I would never do SPIN!!!! I said no straight away, she encouraged me to step out of my comfort zone. Looking back through my fitness apps I seen the inches lost, the weight lost and increased happiness with my body, I gave it a try. 5 weeks later, 13 inch loss, 4kg loss and now I do spin 5 days a week and train 6 days a week. I would have been at a loss without the endless support from Ciara and DKIT Sport  to go to on my journey.”
