Gym Rules

DKIT Sport Gym Rules

  1. Patrons with any known medical condition or injury should consult with their doctor before participating in any form of exercise.
  2. All patrons must complete a Par Q questionnaire before using our gym.
  3. All Gym users must carry out an induction journey with a member of staff before they use the gym facility for the first time or sign a waiver form.
  4. Ask advice from an instructor before using any new apparatus in the gym.
  5. Wipe down equipment after use.
  6. Towels must be used throughout workout for hygiene and cleanliness purposes.
  7. Allow adequate space for other gym users when using free weights.
  8. Always check the weights before using weight machines.
  9. Dismantle heavy weight loads and return any free weights used to their racks.
  10. Adjust machine settings i.e. height of seat, number of plates being used etc.
  11. Do not abuse equipment, your safety and that of others may be at risk.
  12. Be respectful and courteous to other gym users.
  13. No shouting or grunting while lifting weights.
  14. Do not leave free weights on benches, for safety as they may roll off and cause injury.
  15. It is important that all gym users have access to gym equipment at all times.
  16. Do not hold on to equipment for long periods of time, and where possible allow others to ‘work in’ during rest periods.
  17. Please refrain from leaning on mirrors.
  18. Please do not bring bags into the gym area. Use lockers provided.
  19. Hydrate before, during and after exercise.
  20. Proper foot wear and gym attire must be worn at all times.
  21. If feeling unwell or faint, stop exercising immediately and consult with an instructor.
  22. No free weights allowed on cardio equipment Management does not accept responsibility for any illness or injury resulting from use of the facilities at DKIT Sport.
  23. Management reserve the right to refuse gym entry
